Student Letters, Finance and Registration in MyDMU

Envelope, bank card and a student letter representing the finance and letters tiles in MyDMU

Some of the most valuable parts of MyDMU live on the web portal rather than the phone app. These tiles deal with your official record: letters that prove your status, money owed or due to you, and the registration that keeps you enrolled.

Student letters

The letters tile generates official documents on demand. Common ones include:

Letters are produced as PDFs you can download or print. They carry a verification reference that third parties can check.

Financial account

The finance tile shows tuition fee balances, payment plan instalments, and any bursaries or grants awarded to you. Payments due are listed with dates. If a bursary is expected but missing, the finance team can explain where it sits in the process.

MyDMU displays financial information but payments are made through the university's online payment service, which opens in a separate secure window.

Registration and re-registration

Every academic year you must confirm your details and re-register. The registration tile guides you through it step by step: checking personal details, confirming your address, agreeing to regulations and selecting optional modules where your course allows it. Until registration is complete, some tiles, including the timetable, may be empty.

Ratified marks and progression

After exam boards, your confirmed marks appear under the results tile along with your progression decision. These are the official figures, so they can differ slightly from provisional marks shown earlier in LearningZone.

Updating personal details

Change of address, phone number or emergency contact is done from the personal details area. Keep these current, because the university uses them for official correspondence and in emergencies.

When to use the app instead

For a quick look at a balance or to check that registration is complete, the app works fine. For generating letters or completing re-registration, use a laptop or desktop; the forms are easier to work with on a wide screen.
