MyDMU is the DMU student portal and app for your timetable, messages, events and campus services. This site explains how to sign in, what each tile does, how to fix common faults, and lets you download the app in one tap.

Get the latest MyDMU package in one tap, then unzip it and sign in to get started.
Tap Download Now and the ZIP saves to your Downloads folder.
Your phone or computer can unzip it with no extra app.
Open MyDMU, sign in with your university account and allow alerts.
The app and portal cover the day-to-day essentials of student life at DMU. Here is what sits inside.
Every lecture, seminar and lab with room codes and staff names, updated automatically when something changes.
Alerts for timetable changes and important announcements so a room move never catches you out.
University, faculty and student services messages kept in one inbox inside the app.
A feed of university events with Teams links, plus a campus map tied to your timetable.
Tiles change with your year and situation, so the things you need most sit at the top.
An AI-powered helper for quick questions about services, locations and where to find things.
Follows your phone theme or set it manually from the settings screen.
Study spaces, food outlets and opening hours, including vacation schedules.
From install to a working timetable takes under five minutes.
Get MyDMU from Google Play or the App Store, or open the web portal in any browser. Windows users can add the Microsoft Store shortcut.
Use your P-number and enrolment password. Approve the multi-factor prompt if your account has one. No separate portal password exists.
On first launch the app may ask you to confirm you are a current student. Complete registration if the timetable tile is empty.
Allow alerts so timetable changes and important messages reach you. Event reminders can be turned off separately.
One account, the same data, whichever screen you are holding.
Available on Google Play with 10,000+ installs. Timetable, messages, events, map and notifications.
The same app on the App Store with full notification support and dark mode.
A Microsoft Store shortcut opens the portal quickly, or install the site as an app from Edge or Chrome.
The web portal runs on macOS, Linux and Chromebooks too, on or off campus, with no install needed.
The portal acts as a hub that links into the systems DMU already runs.
Module content, assignment submission and feedback, reached from MyDMU without a second login.
Search books, e-books and journals, check loans and manage reservations.
Fee balances, payment plan dates and bursary or grant details on the web portal.
Status, enrolment and bank letters generated as PDFs with a verification reference.
Annual re-registration, personal details and optional module choices.
Log a ticket, track its progress and read knowledge base articles.
Three of the most read articles. The full guide covers nine topics.
The exact sign-in flow for the MyDMU portal and app, what the login page expects, and how to keep your session stable.
Read the article →How the MyDMU timetable is built, how to read room codes, and what to do when a session is missing or wrong.
Read the article →A short checklist for the most common MyDMU faults: repeated logouts, blank screens, missing tiles and login loops.
Read the article →The home screen changes with your year and situation. Here is how to read it.
The top of the screen shows your next session with its room and start time. Below it sits the rest of today. If nothing appears, check that registration is complete and pull down to refresh.
Unread announcements show a count on the messages tile. Timetable changes made in the last few days are highlighted so you can confirm the new room before setting off.
Tiles for LearningZone, the Library, events, the campus map and support sit in a grid you can scroll. Final-year students also see tiles for results and progression once exam boards have met.
Because the layout is personalised, two students on the same course can see slightly different screens. That is expected and does not mean anything is missing from your account.
Four habits that prevent most of the problems students report.
If a tile looks stale or empty, a pull-down refresh on the home screen fetches the latest data.
Many login and timetable faults are fixed in updates. Turn on automatic updates in your store.
The app loads data live. On weak mobile signal, switch to Wi-Fi before assuming the app is broken.
Send the IT service desk your P-number, device model, app version and a screenshot to get a faster fix.
Short answers to the questions students ask most.
MyDMU is the personalised student portal and mobile app for De Montfort University. It brings your timetable, university messages, events, campus information and links to LearningZone, the Library, finance and student letters into one place.
Open the portal or the app, select sign in, and use your university account: your P-number username and the password set at enrolment. Approve the multi-factor prompt if one appears. There is no separate MyDMU password.
Yes. Search for MyDMU on Google Play or the App Store. The developer listed is De Montfort University. Both versions offer the timetable, messages, events, the campus map and notifications.
Session length is set by university account security policy rather than the app. Keeping the app updated, not force-closing it, and making sure your phone clock is set automatically all help. Persistent cases should be reported through the app.
Yes. The web portal works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and Chromebooks. A small Microsoft Store shortcut is also available for Windows, and browsers can install the portal as a desktop app.
Most often registration or module selection has not been finalised, or a seminar group has not been published yet. Check the registration tile, then contact your faculty advice centre if the modules are confirmed but still missing.
No. In-app messages carry announcements, but formal communication about your course, assessments and results still arrives by email. Check both.
Tap Download Now to save the ZIP file to your device, then open it from your Downloads folder and extract the contents. Your phone or computer can unzip it with no extra app. Sign in with your university account to get started.
Not yet. Calendar export has been requested by many students and the developers have said it is planned. The week view is the best option in the meantime.
For login, app or portal faults, contact the DMU IT service desk with your P-number, device and app version. For missing modules or registration problems, your faculty student advice centre is the right team.
